In March 2020, the Marshall family launched Families4Families (F4F) in response to the urgent food crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on Amanda Marshall’s deep experience and connections in the local nonprofit sector—as the Founder of Fair Chance—F4F quickly became a full Marshall affair.
Five years later, Families4Families has evolved into a national nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., empowering young leaders to fight food insecurity by forging lasting partnerships with grassroots organizations.
Meet the family who founded F4F:
Amanda and Alex Marshall: F4F Co-Founders
James Marshall (‘24): F4F Co-Founder, Maret F4F Student Chapter President
Mac Marshall (‘25): F4F Co-Founder, Landon F4F Student Chapter President
John Marshall (‘27) : F4F Co-Founder, Landon F4F Student Chapter Leader
Brooks Marshall (‘29): F4F Co-Founder, Landon F4F Student Chapter Member
What began as one family's effort to support local families in need has grown into a national network of F4F clubs and cohorts, delivering food and essential goods to households facing hardship across the country.
