Position Type: Internship (Part-Time, Weekends)

About Families4Families:

Families4Families (F4F) is a youth development organization committed to empowering students to address food insecurity within their communities. We believe in the transformative power of young leaders working together to make a difference in the lives of families in need.

Position Description:

Families4Families is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our youth development team. As a Youth Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in empowering students to address food insecurity while fostering their personal growth and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Development: Facilitate round-ups with students to reflect on the purpose and impact of collections held, providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and empathy.

Effective Communication: Act as a bridge between students and the F4F Team, ensuring that students’ concerns, ideas, and feedback are effectively communicated and addressed.

Requirements: 

  • Passion for youth development and community service.

  • Has a car/can travel throughout the DMV.

  • Availability to work Saturday mornings 9am - 12pm visiting collections at DMV schools.

  • Availability to work one day per week in person.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate and engage with students effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • A commitment to the mission of Families4Families.
