Centering your collection around a theme and/or implementing other activities to your collection is a great way to bring in volunteers and make your collection more enjoyable!

  • Host an activity or event before or after a collection to raise money to purchase bags of basics or to increase volunteers and donations.

    • Sell snacks and refreshments before football games or other school-related events

    • Advertise F4F via word-of-mouth, wearing merch, and social media

    Tournaments/events: (sell food, drinks, and F4F merch at events)

    • Pickleball tournaments

    • Danceathon

    • 5k/fun run

    • Trivia night

    • Competitions against teachers

      • Sack races, basketball/spike ball tournament

    • Students pay to pie their teachers in the face or pour ice water on them

    Food

    • Barbecue or cookout: People purchase tickets or bring a donation to enjoy the bbq

    • Host a bake sale

    • Partner with local restaurants to get xx% of the profits

    • Candy Grams (students pay to send a candy gram to their friends)

    • Pay $5 to make a dessert (marshmallow snowman or hot chocolate kit) to take home before winter break

    Dances

    • School dances: when you buy a ticket, there is an option to donate to F4F
